Ehab Akkary for PA House District 30

Dr. Ehab Akkary is a surgeon, entrepreneur, and job creator running to represent Pennsylvania’s 30th House District. He brings real-world experience in medicine, business, and leadership — and a deep commitment to the community he calls home.
An immigrant who came to the United States more than 25 years ago from Egypt, Dr. Akkary built his life around hard work, opportunity, and service. He is grateful for the freedoms and responsibilities that come with being an American and believes leadership should reflect both.
Dr. Akkary completed his residency in General Surgery in Michigan and went on to advanced fellowship training at Yale University. He later completed additional fellowship training in cosmetic surgery in San Diego. Throughout his career, he has worked in academic medicine, community practice, and private practice — ultimately becoming a business owner who created jobs and built a successful surgery center.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Akkary earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, strengthening his background in fiscal management, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. He understands budgets, payroll, regulations, and what it takes to responsibly lead an organization — experience that is directly relevant to public service.
Dr. Akkary lives in McCandless and is proud to be part of the 30th District community. He is a devoted father to two daughters and enjoys spending time with them outdoors, traveling, and staying active. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing and watching sports, and exploring new places with his family.
His parents instilled in him the values of perseverance, integrity, and resilience. His mother served for 40 years as the Vice President of a large Catholic school in Cairo, and his father was a businessman. Those lessons continue to guide him today.
Dr. Akkary believes leadership should be grounded in service, accountability, and respect for taxpayers and families. He is committed to working hard for the people of the 30th District and ensuring our community remains strong, safe, and full of opportunity for the next generation.
